          Henry Spritz is a filmmaker from Portland, ME with 10 years of experience writing, producing and directing film and video content, including short and feature length, narrative and documentary films.

 

          His short film Oldtown, was a National Finalist and Silver Award Winner in the National YoungArts Cinematic Arts competition, and was the focus of a two-week solo exhibition at the Camera Club of New York's Baxter St. Gallery in 2018. His debut feature-length film Sunner, was awarded the 2022 Tourmaline Prize for Best Maine Feature Film by the Maine International Film Festival. His work has received funding from the National YoungArts Foundation, Bowdoin College, and the Maine International Film Festival. 

 

         Henry graduated with a Visual Arts degree from Bowdoin College in 2023,  and is a co-founder of the Rolling Tapes Youth Film and Art Festival, which has been held in the Portland Museum of Art and Congress Square Park in Portland, ME, and has worked at the Maine Student Film and Video Conference as an instructor.
